Longevity pathway

Reach your health potential with longevity medicine.

Most people come to a longevity clinic because they want to stay strong, sharp and independent for as long as possible, and to know their health risks while there is still time to change them. Dr Noyan measures how your heart, metabolism, hormones and body are ageing and builds your plan around what he finds, with appointments online for patients in London and across the UK.

What is longevity medicine?

Longevity medicine looks at how you are ageing.

Longevity is about more than how many years you live, because what most people want is more of those years spent healthy, active and independent. Longevity medicine works on that healthspan by measuring the systems that change earliest, such as your heart and blood vessels, blood sugar, hormones, muscle and bone, and helping you act on the results while any change is still small.

6 drivers of ageing we look at closely;
Chronic inflammation
Insulin resistance
Mitochondrial decline
Hormonal shift
Muscle and bone loss
Cumulative stress load
Our Specialties

Who is longevity medicine for?

Most people who book a longevity assessment feel well and have no diagnosis, and they want a clear picture of their health while there is plenty of time to act on it.

You train hard and you've stopped improving.
You train regularly and want to know whether your programme is working, why your recovery has slowed, and what your fitness and strength say about your long-term health.
You have a family history of a long-term condition.
Heart disease, dementia, type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure in a parent or grandparent can raise your own risk, and testing shows which numbers matter most for you and what is worth acting on now.
Nothing is wrong, but you don't feel right either.
Changes in energy, sleep and weight are common in your forties and fifties, and standard tests often come back normal even when you can tell something has shifted.

FAQ

Common questions about longevity medicine, answered

Private healthcare should be straightforward. Here is everything you need to know about booking, insurance, and what to expect at Athelas Medical.

What do longevity clinics offer?

Longevity clinics usually offer a combination of blood tests, physical measures such as fitness, strength and body composition, and a plan for nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress. Some also offer scans or treatments, so it helps to ask what is included and how each test will be used in your care.

What is the difference between longevity medicine and functional medicine?

The two overlap a great deal, and both use detailed testing and lifestyle medicine. Functional medicine usually starts with symptoms you already have and traces them back to their causes, while longevity medicine focuses on people who feel well and want to lower their risk of future disease. Dr Noyan uses both approaches, so your plan can cover current symptoms and long-term health together.

Is longevity medicine legit?

Longevity medicine is a newer field, and the quality of what clinics offer varies a lot. The core of it is well supported by research, including managing blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar, staying fit and strong, and sleeping well. Claims about reversing ageing are not established, so at Arbor Health we focus on tests and treatments with good evidence behind them and explain where the evidence stands for you.

How do I choose a longevity clinic?

Start by checking that a GMC-registered doctor leads your care, which you can confirm on the GMC website, and ask how the clinic chooses your tests and what happens after your results come back. A clear plan and regular follow-up will do more for your health than a long list of tests on their own.

Do I need to live in Manchester to work with Arbor Health?

Appointments with Dr Noyan take place online, so you can work with our longevity clinic from London or anywhere else in the UK without travelling. Where your plan includes testing, we explain how to arrange it before you book anything.

How much does a longevity assessment cost?

Prices at UK longevity clinics vary widely, mostly depending on how much testing and follow-up is included. At Arbor Health you will know the cost of your appointments and any testing before you commit, and you can ask about pricing on your discovery call.

How often should I repeat my tests?

Dr Noyan suggests when to retest based on your results and the changes in your plan, since repeating key markers is how you see whether your plan is working.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

You do not need a referral to book a discovery call or an appointment with Dr Noyan, and you are welcome to share letters or results from your GP or specialist so they can be reviewed before you meet.
